Cruise or all inclusive resort? Which is the best way to go?
And where is the best place to go or stay?
I went on a cruise 15 years ago and had a GREAT time. I went with 3 other women and we went to the Bahamas. Unfortunately, several sexual assaults and deaths have happened on cruises in the past few years (with sexual assault being the more prevalent of the two). I think where you go should depend on which would be safer for they type of vacation you want to have. For example, I wouldn’t go on a cruise right now with a bunch of girls, like I did, because I’d be fearful. I WOULD go on a cruise with family members (if there’s a few guys in the mix) or with a boyfriend/husband, only if we were all in agreement to "stick together". (Even that isn’t an absolute guarantee of safety, but I wouldn’t think that you’d be likely to draw as much unwanted attention from the wrong kind of person like you might if it was all girls.) It’s a sad statement of the times we are living in when you have to consider safety as a crucial part in your decision of where to go on a vacation!! Where ever you decide to go, have a safe, fun filled vacation!! Take care!

I’ve never been on a cruise but all my family members and friends say it’s the best.

I like a cruise because you go different places. At a resort it’s always the same scenery, same place. I like to be on the move. But if you want to just sit in the same place on a beach day after day then a resort would be more for you.

Ive been on 8 cruises and my 9th will be this year. Its actually much cheaper in the long run, and it also brings you to several exotic places in one trip!!! I love to cruise and actually got married by a captain on the Norwegian Spirit last October. If you would like more info on cruising and the advantages and disadvantages please feel free to email me. Im not a cruise consultant or anything like that, and I dont make a living selling cruises either… its just my fav. way to travel!!!! My fav. cruise line is Norwegian Cruise lines and you can check out their web page at www. ncl.com. Please remember that when looking at pricing, there are also port fees. You are also going to want to purchase the insurance at about $100 a person, it is worth it!!! There is also a small fee per day to cover tips. If you go to the bar 20 times in a day you do not tip each time, rather you pay $10 a day per person and that covers all of the servers, runners, the guy who cleans your room… all gratuities. With NCL these are all the hidden charges. For example I am going on a cruise in October… 7 days to bermuda. The cruise is listed at $439 per person… with port fees and insurance our bill is $1600 for the 7 days for 2 people. Then we will be paying $70 each in gratuities. If you go to an all inclusive resort these small hidden fees can be much higher but you will not have the port fees. Good luck, and enjoy your vacation.

It really depends on what you’d rather do:
Have the comfort of being in one place that you can drive to where ever to have fun
or
Being on a cruise where you aren’t sure how you are going to react to sea-sickness and getting off the boat at the diff spots. If you go on a cruise, the best type of cruise is a Caribbean Cruise.
