My husband & I just got back from our honeymoon. We were in Disney World for a week, then we did a carnival cruise from Port Canaveral. We parked our car there and it cost $105 to park there for the whole week. Carnival will definitely be cheaper than RC. We've cruised Carnival before, but we checked into RC and all of their cruises are A LOT more expensive than Carnival. And Carnival charges a $70 per person gratuity fee. But it's worth it if you have wonderful staff! Our waiter/Matre D was FANTASTIC! and our cabana boy and room steward were great, we loved them! But to tip the MatreD is actually not included in this gratuity, they give you a separate envelope to tip him, but you do not have to, we tipped ours because he accomodated our request. We wanted a table for 2 since it was our honeymoon, and he made it happen! And the gratuity they put on your sail and sign account, can be changed how you see fit, you can tip more or less by going to the purser's desk and telling them. Our last cruise we removed all of the tip for the dining room because our waitress was terrible. You can check a travel agent. i belong to AAA, and they really weren't able to get me any deals on carnival. We went on a 7 day cruise, and we had a balcony room, it cost us $2200, then 3 weeks before we upgraded to a suite for $200. So the cost really isn't that bad.<br><b>References : </b><br> Congrats! I've been on Carnival and it was cool, but I've read reviews from people that have been on both and most of them say Carnival is a party cruise, while Royal Caribbean is just as fun, but classy.
