Where can I find special deals and offers for cruises?

I have always wanted to go on a cruise and I just wanted to know is there a website that offers special deals and offers for cruises kinda like how Hotwire.com gives cheaper plane flights or hotels rooms.

There are plenty of so called "cheap" cruise web sites out there, but the reality of it is their prices are no different than the prices you see on the cruise lines own website. Believe me, I have checked and compared many times and in some cases found the so called "cheap" sites were MORE than the cruise lines.

Seriously, those sites are only good for looking at all of the different cruises available, but when it comes to booking, use a travel agent or call the cruise line and book.

Try vacationstogo.com. They have some of the best prices. But I have actually done better with a regular travel agent in my town.

There isn’t that much difference in pricing from one agency to another, as the cruise line more-or-less "controls" prices. The difference is mainly in how many "perks" you get, which are offered by the agents themselves. Any of the "usual" travel websites will have deals on cruises and the site VacationsToGo.com has good deals. CruCon.com is another good one. However, if you’ve never cruised before, I would NOT recommend booking on line, as there are so many variables and unless you understand them, it’s easy to make a "mistake". A travel agent in your town will have prices as good as any of the on-line sites, generally, and will give you good service.

Before you try to choose and book a cruise, I recommend doing a lot of research. Your library has books on cruising which will give you a general idea of what’s involved.

I would suggest you try to get a few quotes from different cruise agencies. I usually use http://www.Cruise.co.uk as they allow you to book online and get even more discount.

    The site I use is:

    http://www.CruiseCompete.com

They list discount specials, plus they also allow agents to compete for your business. Instead of getting one price, you get multiple quotes from travel agents who know they’re competing–and so come up with the best offers.
